Jackson Lake Lodge

Unexpectedly, we may have saved the most stunning sights for last.  The last night we spent in Wyoming at the Jackson Lake Lodge.  It is an old Lodge with rows of cabins on the property, but it sits on Jackson Lake.  This is a huge freshwater lake full of snow melt at the base of the Grand Tetons.  The vistas were breathtakingly spectacular.  We went to grab some dinner and the the girls and I wet for a walk by the marina.  We walked the path around the lake, saw a beaver, and found a magically secluded spot where we were alone in the miraculously gorgeous serenity.  The air was still and the girls dipped their feet into the water.  Mishka skipped stones as Callie threw water drops into the stillness.  There was a quiet there that filled my heart, another few moments I will not soon forget.  I watched as my two beautiful daughters soaked in the joy of the world, the sunshine of youth and reflected back their own strength onto the mountain face.  They are growing into incredible women, and I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to watch it unfold.

This was a super fun crew to share such a special adventure.  We sure know how to redefine a bucket list!

Oh, and the breakfast buffet didn't hurt either!
